Understand Your Program Requirements
As a degree-seeking student at Western, you are responsible for knowing the requirements of your graduate program and making sure that you are taking the courses and completing the milestones your program requires for graduation. The Graduate School uses Degree Works to track student progress toward degree completion. In it, you can see all of the academic requirements you will need to complete to earn your degree, and how the courses you take fulfill those requirements. Access Degree Works through MyWestern.
Make a Plan
During your first quarter, you should meet with your advisor to complete a plan in Degree Works. Plans allow you to map out the courses you will take each quarter and double check to see that your planned courses will fulfill all your degree requirements.
University Catalog
The University Catalog contains all policies and requirements that apply to Western students and lists the specific requirements for each graduate program.
