Degree Completion

New in Fall 2026: for all master's degrees, doctoral degrees, and Western-awarded certificates, use the new online degree application forms.

Step 1: Check Degree Works

Review your Degree Works worksheet for accuracy and completion of all program requirements.

Step 2: Contact Your Advisor

Your program advisor should also review your Degree Works worksheet, document any exceptions or substitutions to your program requirements, and enter their approval of your application.

Step 3: Submit Both Graduation Application Forms

There are two required forms:

Both forms should be submitted and your advisor should enter their Degree Works note of approval by the degree application deadline listed below for your graduation quarter.

If you are completing a degree and a WWU-issued certificate (not including educator and administrator certificates granted by the State of Washington), you will need to submit these forms for each credential you are completing.

Changing Your Graduation Quarter

To inactivate your degree or certificate application or to update to a different quarter, fill out a new Supplemental Form to let us know about the change. If your prior degree application was via esign form, also fill out the self-service graduation application form.
